Group14 Technologies: directing all global brand and creative

As Employee 35 and the head of global brand and creative brand marketing, I joined Group14 when we were an unknown, stealth company operating from a warehouse—a brand with strong bones and a powerful story to tell. By the time I left, we had become the global leader in advanced silicon battery technology, with a brand recognized worldwide.

I directed every facet of our brand and creative, from establishing, naming architectures, messaging, and positioning to leading all video & photo shoots, managing design and copy, envisioning our HQ and factories look and feel, and creating iconic brand elements across digital and OOH campaigns. Highlights included a full website redesign.developing immersive HQ tours, naming our BAM factories, guiding our video creative, and producing a nationally televised press event for Secretary of Energy Granholm.

My work extended to building a video-first strategy, a unique content strategy, a creative strategy, and an enduring brand strategy, along with coining industry-defining terms like “silicon batteries” and “charge anxiety.”

I poured my heart into the foundational elements that would define our brand—from architecture and product naming to lifecycle marketing, whitepapers, and even company signage. Alongside an extraordinary team of external producers, directors, and creatives, I transformed the Group14 brand from a hidden gem into a multi-billion-dollar unicorn with a brand that stands as a leader in our industry. My work is still being recycled and leveraged today, demonstrating it's resilience.
